New Chapter

Each of our lives is an intricate and purposeful story.  I am on to a new chapter in my life and surrendering the pen to God.  He has entitled the next chapter "Honduras".   As in any chapter or book, one might question, "Will this be a suspenseful and thrilling chapter? Or will it be light hearted and sweet?" or perhaps "How will it end?".   I often find myself asking these questions about this new journey!

It feels as though this chapter has begun with the Lord guiding my steps and bringing me to the edge of a cliff (or what at times might feel like the Grand Canyon! ;)  He grabs my hand and asks, "Do you trust me?"  As I look over I see that He has everything necessary to keep me safe.  My initial reaction is one of excitement, yet also fear of the unknown.  It would be comfortable and easy to stay on the solid ground, but where would that get any of us if we stay on the ground.  He senses my fears and simply replies, "I have plans for you.  Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.  Plans to give you hope and a future.  I want to take you places you have never been, stretch you in ways you may never thought possible, and bring you to a depth and understanding of My love for the people of Honduras.  I will take care of EVERYTHING."  I don't know fully what this next chapter holds, but with God authoring it, it has to be good simply because God is good!

So, on August 4th, I will take that leap of faith and dive into the unknown.  It is hard to believe the countdown has already begun!  I am filled with countless emotions: excitement, joy, peace, and anxiety all at the same time!  I cannot wait to meet the beloved people of Honduras.  Please pray that the upcoming transition would go smoothly and that I might be filled more and more with His love so it may be poured out on all I come in contact with.
