My heart is just bursting with gratitude as I have seen the Lord's faithfulness! Many of you know, this past year has been a very interesting and difficult one! There were many times when I had wanted to escape the difficult trial. However, as I was reflecting today, I would not be here in Honduras had I not walked through this past year. While none of us want to repeat the difficult times in our lives, I have seen the Lord's faithfulness and the depth of His love in a way I would not have seen otherwise. As the song states, "Never once did we ever walk alone!" Even when he feels far, He is there and wants to speak to our souls. Only our God can do this!
As I look around me here in Honduras, I am simply blessed. I know I keep saying that, but it is true! A friend challenged me before I left by stating Esther 4:14, "What if you were brought to your royal position for such a time as this?" What if we were created for such a time as this!? God knew all along that I was to come to Honduras this year, and I am still amazed that He can use me here! What if He created me for this year in Honduras? What if He created you for your specific ministries this year? It adds a level of excitement and honor, doesn't it?
Here is my mission field: Tegucigalpa, Honduras!
I am still amazed at how beautiful this country truly is! I live up in El Hatillo, which is a suburb of the capital located up on a mountain! Driving to the market, we overlook this incredible city!
This is the front gate of the school, where I work!
These are some of the awesome people I will be working with! There are a few other new teachers who didn't make it into the picture! :)
These beautiful girls are my roommates! Kerry (been at ALP for 5 years), Lauren, Gabrielle and I (new teachers at ALP)!
I hope you are all well! Love and Prayers from Honduras! :)
Hi Brittany! I LOVE seeing your photos...they are terrific & your facial expressions show great joy! God is amazing. So glad to read that you & your baggage made it and you are at your new home. My paraphrase & experience of Acts 17:26-27...God determined the exact time & place where I should live. God did this so that I would seek Him and find Him. Brittany, our Lord will continue to guide & strengthen you as you walk w/Him.
